He was predeceased by: his parent Frank Barger; his daughters, Dorla May and Darla Kay Barger; and his brothers, Frank Barger and Ralph Barger.
He is survived by: his parent Virginia Fox Barger; his spouse Margaret S. "Soozie" Price; his children, Richard Barger, Jr. (Kristy) of Bradford and Lucinda Barger-Clancy (Eugene) of Limestone; his grandchildren, Derrick Mangel of Limestone, Travis Barger and Brianna Barger of Bradford; and his brother David Barger (Jeanne) of Limestone. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
