He was predeceased by: his former wife Marsha; his wife Martha; his son Timothy Spencer; his siblings, Donald, Jan Spencer, Bonnie Sampson and Mary Vann; and his stepsons, Gary and Melvin Brandt.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Spencer, Bruce Spencer, Amy Smith (Brian) and Diana Chaffee; his stepchildren, Greg Brandt, Cindy Pfingst (Lou), Christy Brandt and Marvin Brandt; and his sister Sally Jackson (Donald). He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
