He was predeceased by: his parents, Carson "Jack" Patterson and Evelyn Patterson (Gray); and his sister Sylvia Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Elsie Patterson (Downey); his daughter Cheryl Lavery (John) of Livonia; his grandchildren, Meghan Lavery and Brendan Lavery; and his uncle Harmon Gray.
