He is survived by: his wife Chereen Beauchamp-Nobbs McNellis; his children, Elaine M. McNellis (James Pugh, Jr.) of Kiamesha Lake, NY and Charles R. McNellis of Liberty, NY; his siblings, Patrick McNellis, MD (Mary) of Naperville, IL, Clare Mitchell (August) of Phoenix, AZ and Laura Zuzully (Daniel) of Geneva, IL; and his sister-in-law Nancy Lennon of Chicago, IL..
