He was predeceased by: his parents, Iwan Kurpil and Mary Warcholiak Kurpil; his siblings, Steve, Peter, Andrew, Charles, Nicholas, Katherine Somesia, Anne Vuono, Rase Brown and Helen Mudry; his mother-in-law Gladys Roosa DeFilippi; and his son Samuel Kurpil Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Frances Defilippi Kurpil; his sisters, Eva Sasnowitz and Josie Devoe of Livingston Manor, NY.; his children, Julie and Gene Burns of Liberty; his grandchildren, Gene and Claire Burns; his children, Kathleen, Thadeus Brandt, Megan, Zachary Cody, Cynthia and Stefan Gieger of Jeffersonville, NY; his grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Matthew, Eliza, Rudy, Veronica and Cameron; his daughters, Christina (Donald Jones) and Jennifer (Thomas Diehl); his grandson Garrett; his son Michael (Lesli); and also, Austin, Caelyn, Aaron, Hannah, Chloe, Lily, Micah, Hans and Winfred.
