It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen Flanagan of Liberty, New York, born in Bronx, New York, who passed away on December 5, 2020, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Jackson and Ellen McGovern Jackson; and her husband Matthew Flanagan. She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Burkart (Edward) of Jeffersonville, NY and Janice Flanagan of New York City, NY; her sister Patricia Smigiel (Robert) of Carlsbad, CA; her grandchildren, Erika Lange (Ralf) and Jesse Burkart (Dawn); and her great grandchildren, Ethan and Noah.

Memorial contributions in Helen's name may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
