He is survived by: his wife Lois Violante (Tomlinson); his children, Dr. Mario Violante III (Pamela), Dr. Jude Violante (Allison), Olivia Violante-Cerrone (Andrew), Dr. Nicholas Violante (Melissa), Marre Benoit (Alex), Dr. Timothy Violante (Molly) and Peter A. Violante (Kathleen); his grandchildren, Sophia Rose, Mario Joseph IV, Isabella Alfreda Rose Violante, Jude Gabriel, Luke Gerald, Margaret Rae Violante, Nicholas Giuseppe, Scarlett Francesca Violante, Maxwell Alexander, Tucker William, Charley Albert Benoit, Lilah James, Lucy Olivia Violante and Peter Joseph Violante; and his brothers, Michael J., Mark Violante (Gail) and Marshall. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
