He was predeceased by: his parents, Valdomiro Nichele and Amabile Nichele (Tosello); and his sister Mary Leo. He is survived by: his wife Loretta Nichele (Insinna); his children, Patricia Brush (Paul), Gino Nichele, Jr. (Donna) and Gene Anthony Nichele (Janine); his stepchildren, Victor Adragna, Nancy Maracle (John) and Jacqueline Cochrane (David); and his brother Angelo Nichele (Marion). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
