He was predeceased by: his parents, Ignazio Valente and Rita Rose Valente (Cichelli); his wife Lorita Valente (Mittiga); and his brother Frank Valente. He is survived by: his children, Renee Demski (Charles), Frank Valente (Darlene) and David Valente (Kari); his grandchildren, Jennifer Amato (Michael), Alisha DeSantis (Nicholas), Frankie Valente, Zachary Valente and Austin Joseph; his great grandchildren, Gabriella and Salvatore Amato; and his sisters, Mary Piccirillo (late Anthony), Philomena Yamonaco (late Anthony) and Florence Archie (late Samuel). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunt's, uncles and cousins.
