She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Apen, and Catherine [Walasek] Apen, Sr.; her son Stephen Virtuoso; and her brother Dr. Edward Apen, Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Gene J. Virtuoso; her children, Maria Nalecz (Robert) and Michael Virtuoso; her grandchildren, Andrew, Rachel, Kristen and Olivia; and her sister-in-law Monique Apen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in her name to the Niagara County SPCA.
