She was predeceased by: her husband Otis; her son Charles Rice; her siblings, Fredrick Sauer, Marjorie Devienes, Helen Rice and Louella Wilcox; and her parent Carl Sauer.
She is survived by: her sons, Richard Rice, Nancy Rice of Lowville, Timothy Rice of Lowville, Dennis Rice and Rae Rice of Lowville; her daughter-in-law Margie Rice of Croghan; and her parent Betsy Planck Sauer. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
