Joseph Zehr Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Zehr in Lewis, New York, born in Lowville, New York, who passed away on November 17, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Charles Zehr; his stepsons, Robert, Ralph and Rodney Cobb; his granddaughter Courtney Cobb; his siblings, Milton Zehr, Gerald (Angeline Zehr), Edward Zehr and Arletha; his brother-in-law Rev. Neil O'Kay; and his parents, Aaron Noftsier and Nina Noftsier.
He is survived by: his children, Lonnie Zehr of Croghan, NY, Nancy Zehr Spence of Brandon, MS and JoAnn Zehr (Gary Meador) of Bartlett, TN; his stepchildren, Debra Richardson of Burlington, NC, Sue, Ed Croniser of Boonville, NY, Katrina and Daron Biro of Taberg, NY; his sisters-in-law, Dorothy Zehr of Carthage, Ada Zehr of Lowville and Sandy Zehr of Carthage; his former wife Loretta Widrick; and his wife Julia Koster Cobb. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother.
