Raymond C. Baker Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Raymond C. Baker of Lee Center, New York, born in Rome, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 25, 2024 at the age of 78. He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Sr. Baker and Mary Szalkowski Baker; his siblings, Christine Paine and Kenneth Baker Jr.; and his brother-in-law Gary Podkowka.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Greene; his children, Tammy Hawkins (Scott) of Summerville, SC, Eric Baker (Erica) of Jacksonville, NC, Tricia Baker (Anthony Pinti) of Rome and Tracey Baker (Ron Lamandia) of Rome; his grandchildren, Britleigh, Brett, Ryann, Makayla, Kyleigh and Isabella; his great grandchildren, Carter, Oaklee and Raeleigh; his siblings, Theresa Doria (Nicholas) of Tennessee and William Baker (Cindy) of Lee Center; and his siblings-in-law, John Paine, Patricia Baker, Linda Yaworski (Joseph), Melodee Janczewski (John), Boni Graveline (Mike), Cindy Marshall (Scott), Michelle Greene (Rob Hool), Rick Greene (Arlene) and Bob Greene (Tracy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 1st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:55 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (5748 Stokes Lee Center Rd, Lee Center, NY 13363).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lee Center Fire Department or Believe 271 Foundation Inc.
