He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen I. Mitchell and Eleanor C. Mitchell (Manning); his wife Agnes (Smith); his son Douglas Mitchell; and his brother Gilbert Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Muir (Robin) of Lyman, Maine and David Mitchell of Huntington; his brothers, Russell Mitchell (Carolyn), Steven Small (Bets) and Scott Small (April); his stepfather Sumner Small; and also Kathleen Stewart. He is also survived by Many grandchildren, Great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
