He was loved and cherished by many people including: his siblings, Henry Simmons, Shelia McClair, Shirley Robles of Wadmalaw Island, SC and Yvonne Coulson of Lancaster, CA.; his grandchildren, Noreen Reed, Jason Simmons and Nathaniel Clark; his children, Shirley Simmons and Charlie Simmons Jr.; his sisters-in-law, JoAnn of Jacksonville, Annie of Lee Center, NY and Doris of Lee Center, NY.; and his cousin Charlie. He was also cherished by grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home (7751 Merrick Rd, Rome, NY 13440). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (8553 Turin Rd, Rome, NY 13440).
