She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Raoul Ihrie and Belle Ihrie (Mendenhall); her husband Richard E. Parsons of Laurens; her sons, Stephen Parsons (Katlyn) of Haverhill, MA and Andrew Parsons (Alicia) of Horseheads; her grandchildren, Finley, Rylie and Ethan; and her sister Maureen VerPlanck (Jack) of Norton Hill. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
