William Liburdi Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of William Liburdi of Latham, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 14, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact William had on those he encountered along his journey. Though William may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parent Italo Liburdi. He is survived by: his wife Haydee Liburdi (Baquerizo); his children, Billy and Isabella Liburdi; his mother Amelia Liburdi (Cortesi); and his brothers, Italo, Dennis (Linda) and Mike. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home (149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, NY 12110). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Ambrose Catholic Church (149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, NY 12110). A burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 11:45 AM at the St. Patrick´s Cemetery (150 Troy-Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189).
Bill's family extends their deepest gratitude to the medical teams at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute for their compassion and care in the last month and they invite all to remember him with a memorial donation to Dana Farber.
