She is survived by: her husband William Joseph Wales; her children, Kathryn Margaret Maggiacomo (Carl Joseph Jr.) and William John Wales (Danielle Patricia); her grandchildren, Teddy, Cody Wales, Ashley, Alex and Carolyn Maggiacomo; and her brother Bernard William Sorell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Margaret's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause she deeply cared about.
