With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John William McElwee (Latham, New York), born in Albany, New York, who passed away on August 16, 2019 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John J. McElwee and Margaret H. McElwee; his wife Arline; his daughter Deborah A. Carosella; his grandchildren, Gina, William (Erin) and Lucas; his daughter Darlene M. Pesnel (Bill Buckley); and his grandsons, Benjamin and Joshua.

He lived a long and healthy life until the ravages of Alzheimer's stole his mind and his body.
