He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Augstell and Genevieve Augstell (Leary); and his brother James Augstell. He is survived by: his wife Sherril J. Augstell (Miller); his children, Susan Dier (Doug), Robert (Marianne), Stephen (Cori) and Michael; his grandchildren, Gregory (Jennifer), Matthew (Sydney), Ryann, Andrew and William; and his great grandchild Beatrice.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Dufresne & Cavanaugh Funeral Home (149 Old Loudon Rd, Latham, NY 12110). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Pius X Church (23 Crumitie Rd, Albany, NY 12211). A burial will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Agnes Cemetery Cemetery (48 Cemetery Ave, Menands, NY 12204).
