Helen McGovern Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen McGovern of Latham, New York, born in Cleveland, Ohio, who passed away on August 3, 2020, at the age of 102, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her granddaughters, Karen and Molly McGovern; and her sisters, Elaine Felt and Gertrude Shoemaker. She is survived by: her children, Barbara Arakelian (George) and William P. McGovern, III (Barbara); her sister Joan Dupont; her grandchildren, David Arakelian (Lois), Daren Arakelian (Tracy), Christian Arakelian and Alison Arakelian (Douglas); her great grandchildren, Michael, Charlie, George, Eva and ZhaZha; and also Sue Sennett.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Helen L. McGovern to the Karen and Molly McGovern Memorial Fund which helps local families struggling to meet expenses as a result of life-threatening illnesses, c/o RRCHHS, Inc, P.O. Box 132, Hoosick Falls, NY 12090.
