It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Alan Smith (Latham, New York), born in Anderson, Indiana, who passed away on October 15, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Smith and Jacqueline Smith (Bogen); and his sister Denise Smith. He is survived by: his wife Loretta A. Smith; his son Brady Smith (Matthew); his stepchildren, Craig Laskoski (Eileen), Alicia Laskoski, Janine Griffith (Karl) and Carolyn West (Thomas); his grandchildren, Owen, Corey Laskoski, Anne, Lydia Griffith, Andrew and Nicole West; his brother Harry "Kip" Smith (Barbara); his aunt Jo Shedron; and his pets, Gracie and Dottie.
Donations, in Gary's memory and in recognition of his love for dogs and appreciation for rescuing them, may be made to the Carolina Canine Rescue and Adoption.
