He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Smith and Lila Smith (Wanmer). He is survived by: his children, Gary J. Smith Jr. (Leisel), Tracy Finnigan (Jeffrey) and Kendra Fingerhut (late Joseph); his grandchildren, Jake, Nathan, Quinlan, Emery, Avery and Joey; and his close friend Karen Krauss.
