She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Vega and Irene Cavanaugh Vega. She is survived by: her husband Scott C. MaLossi; and her brother Alfred Vega Jr..
Before Covid she also volunteered with the Schenectady RIF (reading is fundamental) organization helping to assist elementary school students with their reading skills.
