He is survived by: his children, Jerome Kapelus (Jolie) of New York City, Darren Kapelus of New York City and Lisa Kirshenbaum (Evan) of Cranston; his sister Pamela "Pam" Rabman of Toronto, Canada; his grandchildren, Liza Kapelus (Hanna LoBello), Sydney Kapelus, Griffin Kapelus, Billy Kapelus, Kate Moskin, Nate Kirshenbaum and Lucy Kirshenbaum; his nephew Leigh Rabman; and his niece Alison Sher.
