He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mary Ellen; his children, Michael Fitzsimons (Abigail), Maureen Fitzsimons and Joseph Fitzsimons (Colleen); his grandchildren, Joseph, Timothy, Mary, Maeve and Molly; his brothers, Richard Fitzsimons (Kathy), Bernard Fitzsimons (Nila) and Dennis Fitzsimons (Ann); and his parents, Bernard Fitzsimons and Genevieve Fitzsimons.
