He was predeceased by: his parents, Luigi Garofalo and Teresa Garofalo; his brother Joseph; his sister-in-law Cynthia; and his sister Frances.

He is survived by: his wife Nora; his daughter Wendy of New Rochelle, NY; and his brother Sam (Joyce) of Mamaroneck, NY. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
