He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Howard McMichael and Jacqueline McMichael; his wife Carolyn; his children, James McMichael (Kirsten), Heather Conner (Steve) and Catherine DeVore (HL); his grandchildren, Jack, Teddy Conner, Katie, Jackie, Lindsey and Daisy DeVore; and his sisters, Joan Kelly and Susie McMichael.
