He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Ellis and Florence Bower Ellis; the mother of his children Betty J. Ellis; his siblings, Robert Ellis, David Ellis and Ruby Newhart (Ray); and his siblings-in-law, John Pesu, Ed Parker and Laura Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Rollins Ellis of Lansing; his children, Doreen Turk (Jim) of Danby, NY, Denise DePaolo (Anthony) of Kernersville and Mike Ellis of Mecklenburg, NY; his stepchildren, Lynn Day (Deb) of Lansing, NY, Deb Shea of King Ferry and Gwen Pulkkinen (Paul) of Snook, TX; and his siblings, Charlie Ellis (Barbara) of Lansing, NY, Stanley Ellis of Ithaca, NY, Ronald Ellis of Freeville, NY, Florence Pesu of Elbridge, NY, Judy Parker of Groton, NY, Joyce Griep (Frank) of Groton, NY and Joan Tuttle (Alan) of Locke, NY. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild.
The military honors will be held on Tuesday, November 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (184 Pleasant Grove Rd, Ithaca, NY 14850).
