She was predeceased by: her father Michael E. Visnyei; and her former husband James R. Varga. She is survived by: her mother Dawn Wurzel Visnyei of Ithaca, NY; her husband Byron V. "Buzz" Nelson III; her sister Sherri Buchannon (Les) of Ithaca, NY; her sons, James Varga (Karen) of Holly Springs, NC and Josh Varga (Kristi) of Farmington, NY; her stepsons, Scott Nelson of Gainesville, FL and Kevin Nelson of Lansing, NY; and her grandchildren, Jack, Abigail Varga, Jenna, Camryn Varga, Griffin, Ethan, Will Nelson, Marilou, Magnolia and Iyanu Nelson.
