He was predeceased by: his siblings, Laurie Cosgriff (Tom), Ruby Gesse, George Gesse (late Julia), Ethel Schwartz and Gordon Gesse Jr. (late Marilyn).

He is survived by: his close friend Dorothy "Dottie" Doughty; and his sister June Waldmiller (John). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
