With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jean R. Bassano of Lancaster, New York, born in Dansville, New York, who passed away on February 4, 2022 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Daniel Redding and Aleine Redding; her husband Anthony "Tony" Bassano; her children, Bradley Bassano (Karen) of Lancaster and Monica Kellogg of Allegany; her grandchildren, Travis Bassano of Manhattan Beach, CA, Veronica Ryskalczyk (Richard) of Buffalo, NY, Danielle Hutchison (Adam) of Bolingbrook, IL and Jenna Kellogg of Rochester; her brother David Redding (late Dorothy); her grandsons, Daniel Casey and Robbie Casey of Allegany; her close friends, Kenny and Wendy Copella of Clifton Springs; and her siblings, Eileen Agen (William) and Daniel Redding (Teresa). She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
She organized twice a year luncheons for her school friends for 30 years; she was a proud member of the Red Hat Society for 8 years; and later was the coordinator of the Olean area Parkinson's support group.
