It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sarah J. Nelson of Lakewood, New York, born in Jamestown, New York, who passed away on December 23, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rollo Farnsworth and Margaret Davis Farnsworth; and her siblings, Buster Farnsworth, John Farnsworth and Eleanor Falejczyk.
She is survived by: her husband Gene R. Nelson; her daughters, Lisa Johnson (Jim) of Lakewood, Lynne Nelson of Lakewood and Jane Pilling (Tom) of Lakewood; her grandchildren, Kyle Johnson of Lakewood, Tyler Johnson (Alyssa) of Stockton, NY, Jacob Pilling (Shaunah) of Jamestown and Joshua Pilling (Jessica Lachner) of Lakewood; and her great grandchildren, Cole Daughenbaugh, Bentley Williams, Novalyne Johnson, Brooklyn Johnson and Violet Jean Pilling.
Friends will be received from 11am – 1pm Monday, two hours prior to the service in the funeral home where face masks must be worn.
