He is survived by: his parent Edith Johnson Peterson; his wife Joan Bennett Peterson; his children, Shirley Hibbitts (Jim), Linda Pierce (Scott Gustafson), Melvin Peterson (Diana) and Kristen Pierce; his grandchildren, Tiffany Joyner (Justin), Mick Peterson, Hannah Pierce, Maggie Pierce, Alexander Pierce (Danielle), Raymond Pierce and Joshua Burrell; his great grandchildren, Jordyn Joyner, Jaxton Joyner and Andrew Horvath; and his siblings, John Peterson (Mary) and Vivian Moon (Ray).
