With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald Locke of Lake Placid, New York, born in Brasher Falls, New York, who passed away on October 1, 2021 at the age of 87. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Donald Locke to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley B. Locke and Anna Crowley; his great grandchild Evvie Grace Nemec; and his sister Constance Bartholomew (Herbert). He is survived by: his children, Sheila Preston (Brad) of Lake Placid, Maryellen Decker (Bill) of Saranac Lake, Kelly Locke (Colleen) of Lake Placid and Steven Locke (Liz) of Barstow, CA.; his grandchildren, Christopher Fadden (Nikita), Jeremy Fadden (Alissa), Colin Fadden, Kelsey Nemec (Jeff), Jillian Locke, Sheila Decker, Cecily Decker, Rylee Preston, Steven Locke Jr. (Nicole), Kevin Locke and Reyna Locke; his great grandchildren, Torin, Teagan Fadden, Jack Nemec, Collyns and Amelia Locke; his brother Mickey Locke (Cathy) of Brasher Falls; and his nieces, Marianna, Amanda Locke, Claire Bartholomew and Ella Bartholomew. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, nieces and great-grandchildren.
For those wishing to express an act of kindness, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Don's honor to the VA (Veterans Administration), Tri-town Community Center and the Lake Placid Volunteer Ambulance Service.
