He was predeceased by: his parents, Catherine Brunette Scammell and Donald Gage Scammell; and his grandparents, Ella Mae and Hector Brunette. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth Murray (Ray) and Kelly Humphreys; his stepdaughter Nicole Todd (James Bridget Todd); his son Donald Gage Scammell III (Heather); his grandsons, Daniel R. Scammell and Gage B. Scammell; and his brothers, Terry, David and Michael. He is also survived by his wife, the love of his life and best friend of 46 years, two great grandchildren, and11 wonderful nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Agnes Church (169 Hillcrest Ave, Lake Placid, NY 12946).
The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be directed to Tri Lakes Humane Society in his memory.
