He was predeceased by: his parents, Cortland Etten and Mabel Van Etten; his wife Peg; his sons, Eric and Mark Van Etten; and his siblings, David Van Etten and Jeanne Bayer.
He is survived by: his sons, Philip, Craig (Karen) and Todd Van Etten; and his sister Joanne Krchniak. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations in his name may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
