He was predeceased by: his parents, Ivan DeHoff and Ruth DeHoff (Mower); his wife Dorothy; his son Edwin Jr.; and his grandson Travis M. Hughes.

He is survived by: his children, Charlene (Travis Hughes) of Mt. Marion, David of Poughkeepsie and Byron (Lorraine DeHoff). He is also survived by four grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
