He is survived by: his parent Dorothy May "Ma" Short (Ransom); his sons, Virgil L. Helzer, III (Adrienne), Shane Helzer (Nicole), Michael Short (Jessica), Antoinette "Chris" Bergin, Thomas Klownowski (Annmarie) and Michael Klonowski (Betty); and his grandchildren, Zachary, Kirra, Kyla, Alyssa, Alexis, Darian, Kaitlyn, Tyler and Aubrey.
