Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Joyce Cormie of Lake George, New York, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, who passed away at the age of 86, on May 29, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Rose and Claudine Rose (Webb); her husband Joseph Cormie; and her siblings, John Albert Rose (Camille) of Georgia, Kenneth Rose, Thomas Rose, George Rose and Claudia Winkel.
She is survived by: her former husband Donald R. Fairbanks; her friend Joyce; her children, Kathleen Hilpertshauser (Glenn) of Hudson Falls, Beth Lynn Mabie (E. David) of Chestertown, Amy Jean Harrington (Jeffery) of Plattsburgh, Stephen R. Fairbanks (Sharon) of Hudson Falls and Jack O. Fairbanks (Sheri) of North Carolina; her stepchildren, Larry Cormie, Joseph Cormie, Scott Cormie, Matthew Cormie and Karen Cormie; and her friend Joan. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to the Covid-19 restrictions, graveside services at Pine View Cemetery in Queensbury will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
