She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Cooke and Frances Cooke; her husbands, Duncan P. Powless and John Nolan; her great grandchild Santana Cheek; her son-in-law George Burke; and her stepson Alexander Roundpoint.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah Burke of Syracuse, Duncan Powless (Debbie) of Camillus, Nathan Powless (Diane) of Parish, Raquel Krigbaum (Daryl) of Onondaga Nation and Shondar Powless (Monica) of Lafayette; her stepchildren, Skip Nolan of Syracuse and Patricia Nolan of Syracuse; and her siblings, Verna Hobson, Roxene Jones, Maggie Chaussi, Toni Cook, Anastasia Benedict and Alvin Cook. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
