He was predeceased by: his parents, Helen Ruttan and Carlice Ruttan; and his brother Donald Ruttan. He is survived by: his significant other Kay Russ; his stepchildren, Glenda and John of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Austin Tatum, Ryan Tatum, Jaden Oliver and Cory Russ; and his siblings, Carlice Ruttan Jr. (Wendy) of Lafargeville, Donna Spencer of Limerick, Sandy Gosier of Perch River and Sheila Ingerson (John) of Perch River.
