With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard J. Gilbert of Lacona, New York, born in Ogdensburg, New York, who passed away on October 29, 2024 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Gilbert and Margaret Wallace Gilbert; his wife Diane DeLacey Gilbert; and his siblings, Nina Adams and Robert Gilbert.
He is survived by: his children, Janet Darou (Timothy) of Mannsville, William Gilbert (Julie) of Lysander, Gregory Gilbert of Lacona, Michael Gilbert (Jessica Sicherman) of DeWitt and Daniel Gilbert (Tavia) of Cazenovia; his grandchildren, Matthew, Shannon, Kelsey, John, Andrew, Amelia, Cora, Aubrey and Izaak; his great grandchildren, Sawyer and Finley; and his brother Roger Gilbert of Syracuse.
Visitation was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home (52 Park St, Pulaski, NY 13142). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Christ Our Light Parish (23 Niagara St, Pulaski, NY 13142).
