He was predeceased by: his wife Joy Spanich; his nephew Jimmy; and his niece Mary Ann. He is survived by: his children, Julie Bradt (Howard), Joseph Spanich (Tiffany) and James Spanich; and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexis and Jake.
