He was predeceased by: his parents, Ann and Joseph J. Gabor, Sr.; and his sister Mary Ann Arnst (late Frank). He is survived by: his spouse Shirley; his daughter Dawn M. Eschner; his grandchildren, Samantha, Kurt and Jenna Eschner; and his siblings, James Gabor (Sandra), AnnMarie Pepin (Ronald), Donald Gabor and Patrick Gabor. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
