He was predeceased by: his wife Deborah Girdlestone; his parents, Ann Girdlestone and John Girdlestone; and his siblings, Patricia Nendza, Dolores Siedlecki and Michael Girdlestone (Barbara).
He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Pulinski (Daniel) and Bryan Girdlestone (Melissa); his grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew Pulinski, Bryan, Blake and Brycen Girdlestone; his siblings, John (Lorraine), David (Debbie), Joanne Gordon (Paul) and Gail Lannon; and his siblings-in-law, Walter and Judy Mazur. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
