She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter DesJardins and Lillian DesJardins; her husband Wendell Higgins; her son James Forbey; and her stepdaughter Sharon Postma.
She is survived by: her son Ricky Forbey (Maureen); her sister Pauline Lillis; her granddaughters, Brittany and Samantha Forbey; her stepson-in-law Milton Postma; and her stepgrandson Travis Postma. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the America Cancer Society.
