He was predeceased by: his parents, Azaria Marchetti and Domenica Organtini Marchetti; his grandchild Shawn Saguid; and his siblings, Euclid, Anteo, Ulisse, Amos, Benito Marchetti, Eva Dittmar, Olga Troiano, Ida Merigliano and Ellen Tompkins.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Stoll Marchetti; his children, William Marchetti, Jr. (Cynthia), Vincent Marchetti (Robin) of Selkirk and Debbie Marchetti of Saugerties; his stepchildren, Lisa Saguid (Stephen) of Saugerties, Mark Giles of Syracuse and Wayne Shy (Jennine) of Rosendale; his grandchildren, Stephen Marchetti, Daniel Marchetti (Noelle), Lindsay Espinoza, Ruby, Spencer Shy, Ryan and Rachel Saguid; and his great grandchild Avery Anne Marchetti. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (242 Wall St, Kingston, NY 12401). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ulster SPCA.
