In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Sheila leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Sheila may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her husband James Matteo; her parents, Eugene B. Carey and Mayor of Kingston; and her son Eugene James. She is survived by: her sons, James (Suchada), Thomas and Mark; her grandson Angelo; and her stepdaughters, Sandra Weir (Jim) and Joyce Michaud.
Visitation was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service - Kingston (326 Albany Ave, Kingston, NY 12401). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Joseph's RC Church (242 Wall St, Kingston, NY 12401). A graveside service was held on Monday, November 18th 2024 at the St Mary's Cemetery (322 Foxhall Ave, Kingston, NY 12401).
