She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter McElearney and Mary Ann McElearney (Monaghan); her husband Eddie Higgins; her son Joseph; and her siblings, James McElearney and Kathleen McDermott.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin, Brendan (Kristina), Renee Murray (John), Eamon (Mary), Paul and Beth Higgins-Courtney (Mary); her daughter-in-law Aleta; her grandchildren, Aidan, Sarah, Rebekka, Declan, Kian, Joseph, Neave, Hannah and Amelia; her siblings, Alice Byrne and Peter McElearney; and her cousin England. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
